Add a touch of elegance to your life with the Appassionata Quilt XIV (68” x 68”), designed for Timeless Treasures.  It looks hard, but it’s not.  And when you make it by machine, it’s fast. Create the 36” center medallion in our time together by machine reverse appliqué.  Learn how with our Trace, Snip, Iron & Stitch method and get pointers on how to satin stitch like a pro.  Learn the trick for stitching clean acute points, corners and smooth graceful curves.    Come be empowered! Make it in passionate purples as we did, or re- imagine it in your colors.  Learn with others and experience the fun and beauty of reverse appliqué by machine.

Appassionata Quilt XIV has a 36” reverse appliqué center medallion, surrounded by borders of applique and reverse appliqué. Pattern includes full-sized pattern pieces, instructions for hand and machine reverse appliqué, and quilt top assembly.

Supply List below is to make 1 – 36” x 36” Center Medallion.

Required: Appassionata Quilt XIV pattern - $28.00 print/ $21.00 digital. Pattern available at www.eobquiltdesign.com.  (If you purchase the digital PDF, print it “actual” size/ “full” size.)

  • 1 – 38 ½” x 38 ½” square of Medium-dark batik for top (dark purple in the picture)

  • 1 – 38 ½” x 38 ½” square of light batik for background (lavender-lt. blue in the picture)

  • 1 – 36” x 36” square Soft Fuse (iron-on fusible)*

  • Terial Magic spray-on stabilizer*, or light-medium wash-away or tear-away stabilizer (enough for 36” x 36” center medallion)

  • Threads for machine stitching (SAME COLOR as top fabric. Optional, contrast/ complimentary color to top fabric)

  • 1 pair small, sharp scissors*

  • 15-20 pins for pin basting (safety or straight)

  • Mechanical pencil for tracing pattern onto paper side of Soft Fuse

  • 15-20 pins for pin basting (safety or straight)

Practice piece: 2– 8” x 11” pieces of contrasting fabric; 1 – 8” x 11” piece of Soft Fuse* (iron-on fusible); Terial Magic* or 1 – 8” x 11” piece of stabilizer
