Autumn Fire (81” x 81”) is inspired by many decades of glorious, blazing falls in New England; raking leaves fallen from Maple trees and in my childhood, burning leaf piles after jumping in the piles. The design was created in 2015, and I’ve just been waiting for the right combination of fabrics to come together to give this quilt life. I’m so excited to bring Autumn Fire to our customers in the Everbloom collection of batiks by Lumin Fabrics, Fall/ Winter 2026.

This quilt is built around our Radiance, Medallion V pattern as the center medallion. Done up in these fabrics its reminiscient of a burning pile of leaves. From the design elements of Radiance I created the corner blocks and inner borders.

As always, all our patterns are durable and come full-size, so there’s no need to enlarge the pattern or re-position as you trace the design either onto your fabric, if making by hand, or your Flexi-Fuse if making it by machine. The pattern comes with extensive step-by-step instructions with pictures for hand and machine reverse applique, machine piecing and quilt top assembly.

What is a Pattern PDF and how do I print it?

A Pattern PDF is a digital file of the complete pattern instructions and full-size pattern pieces. You will also be emailed Welcome Notes.

After purchase, an email with a link to the Pattern PDF will be sent to you automatically – click the link to get your pattern. This link expires after 24 hours, but we can re-send it to you if you have any trouble. Just email us at admin@eobquiltdesign.com

• Pattern booklet prints on 8.5” x 11” paper and can be printed on an in-home printer at full-size.

• Print booklet and all pattern pieces at Full-size.

• The full-size pattern pieces will need to be put on a USB stick and taken to a copy shop that can print in large format, or Read the blog, Printing Our PDF Digital Patterns at Home (3/18/2020) to print on an in-home printer in Poster tile and tape together.

• Because printing at a copy shop is an additional expense for you, a Pattern PDF is priced at 25% off the print pattern price because of this additional expense.

• Please check in your area that you have a copy shop that can print the pattern for you before purchasing. PDF patterns are non-returnable/ non-refundable.

This Pattern has three pattern pieces. Patterns print on paper that is: Pattern Piece 1 (Dot Corner Post & Swirl Corner Post Circle) is inside your pattern booklet & prints on - 8.5” x 11”; Pattern Piece 2 (Radiant Fire Center Medallion) - prints on paper 28" x 28"; Pattern Piece 3 (Scroll Inner Borders: Side & Top/ Bottom) - prints on paper 18" x 36"
