Reverse appliqué with applique pattern – instructions for hand or machine and machine piecing

(16" x 40") table runner; (16” x 16”) placemats

Have a star spangled celebration with Shooting stars table decor set on your table with its 16” x 40” table runner and 4 - 16” x 16” place mats. We designed it in classic red, white and blue batiks from the Sail Away collection by Island Batik Summer 2021. So appropriate to decorate for 4th of July, Memorial Day or anytime you are honoring a veteran you love. The Star block is reverse applique with inset applique stars and can be made by hand or machine.

Pattern corrections: Two errors found in patterns purchased from October 2021 - March 17, 2022

1. Patterns are missing Swag Applique border pattern piece. If you find your pattern is missing the Swag Applique pattern piece, contact us and we will email you the pattern piece.

2. There are 2 Corner Post pattern pieces in the pattern. The one in the booklet is too small-DO NOT USE. The Corner Post (4” x 4”) pattern printed on the insert page with the Shooting Star block (8” x 8”) is the correct size. USE this one.

  What is a Pattern PDF and how do I print it?

  A Pattern PDF is a digital file of the complete pattern instructions and full-size pattern pieces. You will also be emailed Welcome Notes.

  After purchase, a link to the Pattern PDF will be sent to you automatically – click the link to get your pattern. This link expires after 24 hours, but we can re-send it to you if you have any trouble. Just email us at admin@eobquiltdesign.com

  • For all printing, at home or at your local copy shop: Be sure to print all pattern pieces at “ACTUAL SIZE” or “FULL SIZE”. DO NOT print to fit.

  • Pattern booklet prints on 8.5” x 11” paper and can be printed on an in-home printer.

  • The full-size pattern pieces will need to be put on a USB stick and taken to a copy shop that can print in large format.

  • This will be an additional expense for you. However, a Pattern PDF is priced at 25% off the print pattern price because of this additional expense to you.

  • Please check in your area that you have a copy shop that can print the pattern for you before purchasing.

  • One pattern piece prints on paper that is: 11" x 17" (has Shooting Star block and Swag Applique border block).
