There are Required Materials Kit for Hawaiian Reverse Applique, on the AQS SEAM Hawaii Quilt Cruise with Seminars at Sea, January 10 -27, 2026. The Hawaiian Reverse Applique class happens January 11 -15, 2026 on shipboard before visiting Hawaii.
Your Required Materials Kit includes:5– classic Hawaii patterns (Anthurium, Maile, Pineapple, Breadfruit & Angel’s Trumpet pattern

For Pattern making:
2 – 18” x 18” squares of plastic-coated freezer paper, 1 for each pattern
2 – 20” x 20” pieces pattern making paper, 1 for each pattern
For Making the Fabric Blocks:
2 – 22” x 22” squares of Medium-dark batik, top fabric (1 for each pattern)
2 – 22” x 22” squares of light batik for background fabric (1 for each pattern)
2 - Spools Aurifil 80 wt. thread for hand stitching (SAME COLOR as top fabrics)
1 spool of 40 wt. hand cotton quilting thread in contrast to top
1 – pack (20) No. 7 Sharps needle, basting
1 – pack (10) No. 11 Milliner’s, hand reverse appliqué
1 pair small sharp Kai 4” bent-handled slightly, blunt-tipped scissors
