This design was created by Margaret Willingham from a paper-cut done for her Create & Make: Medallion class, which will next be taught on the AQS Seam Hawaii Quilt Cruise with Seminars at Sea, January 10-27, 2026. To book your spot on the cruise and to find out more information contact www.quiltcruise.com.
North Star is perfect as a wall-hanging by itself, or use it as the center medallion of a quilt of your own design. Or repeat the medallion as if it were a block to construct a quilt center of multiple North Stars.
We designed it in Deep, deep blue and light blue from the foundation and basic collections by Lumin Fabrics, formerly Island Batik, by hand.
This pattern is available as a digital PDF download as well.
