This kit is comprised of the Flour Sack collection batiks + the Grandmother’s Kitchen Quilt XX pattern to our newest quilt pattern. These batiks are the fabulous vintage feel fabrics by Island Batik that the quilt was designed in. All to create a cozy, old fashioned quilt you can cuddle up in and feel loved.
The quilt is laid out and colored so it has a medallion feel, but it is created with 9” blocks of reverse applique, applique and a 9-Patch variation. All applique and reverse applique may be done by hand or machine. You then layer, quilting-as-you-go followed by assembling using a 1/2” sasher. Kit/ pattern options include the 1/2” sasher.
Kit has 9 1/4 yards of 7 different batiks for the body of the quilt top + 1 3/4 yards of 7 different FE’s/ FQ’s of fabrics for the applique, bringing the total kit yardage to 11 yards of quality Island Batik batiks!.
Kit comes in 3 options:
1: Fabric + pattern + with 1/2” sasher
2: Fabric + pattern (NO sasher)
3: Fabric ONLY
