Sail Away with Hand Applique (#16W3500-Applique)

All Levels - 3 hours

You’ll breeze through hand appliqué when you trace, baste, snip & stitch the Eye of the Beholder way. In Margaret’s method, you mark on the back and appliqué on the front. Your pieces will be precisely placed and basted for needle-turning down. But where to begin? We’ll look at a block to know where to begin. You’ll work together thinking it through step-by-step, layer-by-layer, from background to foreground as we patiently build and stitch the Cape Cod Knock-About block. Plus, we’ll look at other blocks as learning opportunities. The Cape Cod Knock-About block is excerpted from Margaret’s newest wall hanging, Ships Ahoy. Her method makes it pleasurable to stitch by hand and so, sew simple to get graceful curves and crisp points, inside and out. Join the fun!
