Clipper Ship: Set Sail with Hand Applique (#17F3101f)
All Levels - 6 hours
All times are Local: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Location: Rm 203AB
Workshop: AQS Daytona #17F3101f-Hand Applique
You’ll easily sail along with hand appliqué when you trace, baste, snip & stitch the Eye of the Beholder way. In Margaret’s method, you mark on the back and appliqué on the front. Your pieces will be precisely placed and basted for needle-turning down. But where to begin? We’ll look at a block to know where to begin. You’ll work together thinking through the process, step-by-step, layer-by-layer, from background to foreground as we patiently build and stitch the Clipper Ship block. Plus, we’ll look at other blocks as learning opportunities. The Clipper Ship block is excerpted from Margaret’s wall hanging, Ships Ahoy. Her method makes it pleasurable to stitch by hand and so, sew simple to get graceful curves and crisp points, inside and out. Join the fun! eobquiltdesign.com/

Kai scissors specially honed for Eye of the Beholder Quilt Design, and only available from us!
Hand-polished and with soft ergonomic grip handles, Kai Scissors are made in Japan of fine stainless steel with vanadium. These scissors are specially balanced to allow for fatigue-free cutting on all types of fabrics. Hardened stainless steel blades offer superior cutting action.
4 inch, bent handled scissor with slightly blunted tips. Allowed by most airlines when you travel.
These scissors are my very favorite when I Trace, Baste, Snip & Stitch. They allow me to trim away the top fabric without worry of cutting the background fabric. The slightly blunted tip means my scissor blade just glides between the top and background fabric layers.
